Karlsruhe Institute of Technology

SALDA provided a specialized ventilation system for the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) laboratory, prioritizing hygienic and safe air management. The AmberAir hygienic unit, meeting Eurovent and VDI6022 standards, ensures clean air circulation essential for research environments.

System Highlights:

  • High Capacity: Delivers up to 25,000 m³/h with heat recovery.
  • Redundant Fans: Backup fans maintain airflow if primary fans fail.
  • Enhanced Filtration: Activated carbon filters remove volatile compounds.
  • Louvre Flaps: Prevent unfiltered air and condensation during downtime.
  • Temperature Control: Managed by Siemens Climatix with heating/cooling capabilities.
  • Remote Maintenance: Integrated with Modbus RTU for easy monitoring.

This solution underscores SALDA’s commitment to high-performance, hygiene-compliant systems for sensitive laboratory settings.

Project location: Karlsruhe, Germany
Works:
  • AmberAir hygiene system installed
  • Supply and exhaust air system with heat exchanger mounted
  • Activated carbon filtration added to remove volatile compounds
  • Remote system monitoring via Modbus RTU enabled
